Everything You Need
Under One Roof
From routine blood tests to specialist OPD consultations โ comprehensive diagnostic care at Sanobharang, Kathmandu.
Lab Tests
& Blood Work
222+ diagnostic tests using precision analysers โ CBC, thyroid panel, hormones, cancer markers, cultures, biopsy, cytology and more. Most routine tests deliver same-day results with certified printed reports.
What it is
Our laboratory runs a 222+ test menu across haematology, biochemistry, hormones and immunology, microbiology, urine analysis and pathology. Samples are processed on fully automated chemistry and immunoassay analysers, and all reports are signed off by our consultant pathologist before release. Quality control is run twice daily against international reference standards.
Who it's for
Patients sent in with a doctor's referral, walk-in patients booking a single test, families on an annual check-up, employers ordering corporate panels, and anyone tracking a chronic condition such as diabetes, thyroid disease, or hypertension across regular intervals.
What to expect
Arrive at the Sanobharang clinic any day between 7AM and 8PM โ no appointment needed for routine bloods. Sample collection (blood, urine or stool) takes 5โ10 minutes. Most reports are ready the same evening; we send a WhatsApp notification when yours is ready and you can collect a printed copy or have it forwarded digitally.
Turnaround
Most routine blood tests deliver same-day results. Specialised cultures, biopsy and cytology reports take 2โ5 working days depending on the test.
X-Ray &
Ultrasound
Digital X-Ray, Video X-Ray, and Ultrasound Abdomen (USG) performed by certified radiologists. Reports interpreted by Dr. Pratik Thapa (MD Radiologist, Birendra Army Hospital).
What it is
We operate a digital X-Ray suite alongside a Video X-Ray (fluoroscopy) unit and a high-resolution ultrasound machine for abdominal and pelvic imaging. Digital imaging means low-dose exposure and instant image review on screen, while reports are dictated and signed by our consultant radiologist before release to the patient.
Who it's for
Patients with chest complaints (cough, breathlessness, suspected pneumonia), suspected fractures, abdominal pain or bloating, suspected gallstones or kidney stones, follow-up of known fatty liver, antenatal mothers needing routine USG, and anyone referred by a physician for cross-sectional imaging.
What to expect
Walk in any day 7AMโ8PM. X-Rays take 5โ10 minutes and the image is available immediately on the consultant's screen. An ultrasound abdomen takes about 15 minutes โ drink 4โ5 glasses of water an hour before arrival so the bladder is full. Printed reports and images are typically handed over the same day.
Turnaround
X-Ray reports same day, often within 30 minutes. Ultrasound reports same day, typically within an hour of the scan.
ECG, ECHO
& Fetal ECHO
Electrocardiogram (ECG), Echocardiogram (ECHO), and Fetal ECHO services. Cardiac results reviewed by Dr. Sahid Murtaza (Cardiologist, Shahid Gangalal Heart Centre).
What it is
Our cardiac suite offers a resting 12-lead ECG, transthoracic ECHO (echocardiogram) to image heart chambers, valves and pumping function, and Fetal ECHO during pregnancy to screen for congenital heart defects. All cardiac studies are reviewed by Dr. Sahid Murtaza from Shahid Gangalal Heart Centre before release.
Who it's for
Adults 40+ booking a baseline cardiac check, patients with palpitations, chest discomfort, breathlessness or known hypertension, anyone with a family history of early heart attack or stroke, patients before major surgery, and expectant mothers in the second trimester referred for Fetal ECHO.
What to expect
ECG takes 5 minutes and is read on screen immediately. ECHO takes 20โ30 minutes โ wear a loose top, as the probe needs direct chest access. Fetal ECHO is performed by appointment and takes 30โ45 minutes. Bring previous reports and your current cardiac medication list so the consultant can interpret in context.
Turnaround
ECG reports issued the same day. ECHO and Fetal ECHO reports typically available the next working day after consultant review.
