Preparation

No fasting needed, but the collection must be done correctly: empty your bladder first thing in the morning and discard that urine, then collect every drop for the next 24 hours into the container we provide, including the first morning sample of the following day. Keep the container cool. Avoid heavy meat meals and strenuous exercise during the collection day, as both can raise creatinine. A small blood sample is drawn when you return the urine.
